About this course
This course builds your General English skills and focuses on the language you will need in the workplace. You will gain the means to express yourself effectively in English. So in future, whether you want to write a report or give a presentation, you can do so with confidence.
The aim of this course is to prepare students to be successful in complex business communication tasks in writing, reading, and listening. The students who are interested in improving their skills in a business/economic content area or taking further courses in Business related majors will benefit from this program.
-Deliver effective presentations in business meetings
-Accurately use the language of negotiations
-Communicate confidently and effectively in business meetings
-Use proper vocabulary in formal business and colloquial business jargon
-Recognize the features of different genres of business correspondence, such as memos, emails, and business letters as well as business articles and essays
-Employ strategies to be a successful employee or employer in the workplace
-Prepare for and participate in debates on business topics
-Follow and demonstrate understanding of lectures, talks and interviews on business topics delivered by authentic business specialists
Duration: 80 hours (2 hours per session), 3 times a week
Prerequisite level: Intermediate

Your 10 weekly Business English lessons will focus on areas such as: Negotiating contracts, Management and HR, Branding and promotional strategies, Project management, Company budgets, Business ethics and CSR
